Simple flower Arranging

I seem to be posting a lot about flower arranging lately, and I do not consider myself an expert.  I just know I love this time of year when perennials are blooming and like to enjoy them outside and inside both.   Maybe I can inspire someone to bring in a beautiful bouquet or take one to a friend.

Peonies do not bloom for more than a few weeks, so I have to enjoy them while I can.  Last night before coming in the house after work, I got my scissors I keep in the garage and cut this bouquet.  To add some contrast and depth, I cut a few sprigs from a purple plumb bush.  This hand crocheted doily my grandma made me sets it off nicely.  I spread a few purple plumb leaves around – this morning I added a few more, but didn’t take another picture.

TIP – if you cut a few of the buds that are not quite open they will soon open and fill out your bouquet.  The arrangement will last longer also.

This is far from a professional arrangement, but there’s something special about a bouquet from your own yard.  And, it’s FREE.

STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES, then bring a few into the house.
