Healthy Beverage

imageIt’s that time of the year. After indulging in too many goodies over the holidays, it’s time to get back to a more healthy life style.  I’ve been reading about the health advantages of drinking lemon juice with hot water, as well as the health benefits of raw honey.  You can find information on both all over the internet.  I didn’t have organic lemons in the house so I decided that lemon juice would work until I get fresh organic lemons.

According to what I have read in health articles, lemon juice creates an alkaline presence in your body.  Many articles say that cancer cannot survive in an alkaline atmosphere.  (I am not saying this is a fact.)  In addition to other health advantages I’ve read, I’ve been persuaded me to give it a try.  So first thing this morning I heated a cup do water, added about a tablespoon of lemon juice, a teaspoon of raw honey, and sat down to sip my drink and watch the morning news.  I didn’t have organic lemons in the house so I decided that lemon juice would work until I get fresh organic lemons.  I actually kind of enjoyed it.

I’m not a doctor so I can’t endorse it, but I personally decided it’s worth a try.  I’m just saying what I’ve read and what I’ve done.  Given that I lost three people close to me last year from cancer, I thought it as worth a try.  Bottom line is, I don’t think it will hurt me.

Being in pretty good, health, I won’t be able to say, “well, I had this or that ailment and now I’m cured.”  But, I am doing some positive things to stay healthy.
