Organizing Your Household Chores – Part 1

imageAs a working mother, I never had enough time to do all the things I needed to get done.  I wanted to feed my family good home-cooked meals.  I wanted the laundry all done, folded, ironed and put in away.  I wanted to go sports and activities like a good mom.  I wanted a few minutes to sit and watch a TV show.  But, I also wanted a perfectly kept, tidy, clean house – no dirty dishes in the sink – no dust on the furniture – you get the drift. . .  The meticulously clean house seemed to never be a reality for a working wife and mother.

I soon found out I could not do it all.  On my days off, I would have so much to do that I didn’t know where to start.  They day would be over and I would still have a lot of things that I had not gotten to.

I came up with an idea that I will share in the next few posts that helped me get a grip on reality about a meticulous house.

(The above picture is actually what my family room looks like when my two grandsons come for a week in the summer.  My nephew who is the same age also spends a few days with us that week. I bite-the-bullet so to speak that week and let the boys enjoy themselves.  We actually spend very little time at home that week so I can live with it to make good memories with my boys.  LOVE THOSE BOYS!!!)
